Design for the stage-curtain.
Summer 2016 will see the publication of a new 'cut and make' model toy theatre by Clive Hicks-Jenkins for the Pollock's Toyshop in Covent Garden. Based on on the Grimm Brothers fairy tale, Hansel & Gretel, the model theatre will make a companion piece to the artist's Hansel & Gretel picture-book, forthcoming from Random Spectacular, the imprint of the St. Jude's. design company.
The proscenium of the model will be in a traditional toy theatre style, decorated with gingerbread men, Liquorice Allsorts, Lovehearts, moulded blancmanges and lollipops.
